What You Will Do:

You will perform routine and complex neurological diagnostic tests in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis of neurological disorders. These include, but are not limited to, electroencephalograph (EEG), to record patient brain waves and nervous system responses as well as EP evoked potential and NCS nerve conduction testing to verify or evaluate nerve connections. You will be involved in an exciting opportunity for career advancement to support expansion of our neurodiagnostic program with epilepsy monitoring and neuromuscular/autonomic testing.


What You Need to Be Successful:

Highly effective verbal communication skills are required to explain procedures to patients, and to work with Neurologists to record brain activity during epilepsy monitoring, WADA testing, brain mapping, and surgical resection. The ability to perform functional brain mapping or intra-operative electrocorticography in conjunction with a Neurologist and the ability to mentor and provide guidance to lower level neurodiagnostic technicians by explaining complicated procedures or demonstrating the proper maintenance of equipment.


AA degree in an approved neurodiagnostic technology program or equivalent applicable experience in addition to two years experience performing EEG's and evoked potentials is required. . An additional year of experience performing epilepsy monitoring using computerized video monitoring equipment, functional brain mapping, and intra-operative monitoring during surgical resection is also required. Proficient knowledge of neurophysiology and neuroanatomy is required to record and analyze patient brain activity. Demonstrated knowledge of operating highly specialized computer and video monitoring equipment, EEG, and evoked potential equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and repair of computerized video monitoring equipment, evoked potential, and EEG/EMG machines.
